NBA Playoffs: Knicks beat Pacers, Nuggets defeat Timberwolves in Game 5 matchups

The NY Knicks beat the Indiana Pacers with a score of 121-91 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night in NYC to take a 3-2 series lead.

The Knicks’ Jalen Brunson dominated the game with 44 points, while Josh Hart (18), Alec Burks (18) and Miles McBride (17) all finished with double-digits. New York earned the win despite the loss of  OG Anunoby, who sat out for a third straight game as he deals with a hamstring injury he suffered in Game 2.

The Knicks will attempt to clinch the series and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals with a win against the Pacers in Game 6, set for Friday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The Denver Nuggets defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of their second-round NBA playoff series on Tuesday night.

Nikola Jokic scored 40 points, with 13 assists to lead the Nuggets to victory; the reigning champions have won three games in a row to take a 3-2 series lead, and are one win away from returning to the Western Conference finals.

Game 6 will take place in Denver on Thursday.
